Quick answer
Usually, yes. Most home stairlifts run on rechargeable batteries that charge when the lift is parked at a charging point, and that charger plugs into a standard household outlet. The site survey confirms where the outlet and charger will go. If there isn't an outlet near your stairs, tell us before the survey.
Most home stairlifts don't run directly off a wall plug while they move. They run on rechargeable batteries. When you park the lift at its charging point, usually at the top or bottom of the stairs, the batteries recharge. The charger for that charging point plugs into an ordinary household outlet.
During the site survey we measure your stairs and look at where the charger and outlet will go. We'll talk through the best spot with you before your lift is ordered.
Let us know before the survey. EZ Able® doesn't do electrical work, so if you need a new outlet, plan to have a licensed electrician add it before install day. We'll tell you where the charger needs to go.
Good to know
Keep the charger plugged in and the outlet switched on. A lift that isn't charging can run its batteries down. See why the stairlift charger light is red.

Because most home stairlifts run on batteries, many can still make trips during a short outage. Check your owner's manual, and once the power is back, park the lift on its charging point so it can recharge.
